THEIR FATE INTERTWINED

After the epic battle between Ginny and Big Alice the dust have settle with each characters motives becoming clear. Ginny continues her search for Fox in order to carry out her revenge. Death has not given up on bring Ginny home and sends Johnny Coyote to retrieve her. Will Ginny carry out her vengeance? or is Coyote the man to stop her? Lots of questions are answered here!

The Ups: GOOD GRACIOUS THIS IS AN EPIC ISSUE. It is so good I can write this review in all caps. DeConnick has created a unique story telling that makes this series stand out from the masses. If you are not aware of the series, the story is told by Bones Bunny (thats right a dead bunny’s bones) to a butterfly. A weird beginning to each issue that feels all so right. DeConnick has been keeping a lot of the story background from the readers and only giving out little tidbits each issue. This issue was a big reveal that should satisfy your hunger and more. The tale of Fox is told and man is it a big one. You will finally see what all these characters (Ginny, Fox, Sissy etc.) have in common and what drives them to do what they do. It is a compelling and chilling issue that connects every thing that has happened since issue one. DeConnick’s Ginny is an interesting character that displays compassion but can quickly have a dark presence. The characters just sucks you in. Rios and Bellaire are an amazing art team. Rios pencils are fluid and dark which sets in perfectly with the tone of the book. Her command of facial expression is one of the best I have seen. Ginny eyes are so cold that you can feel it off the pages. The panel layouts are great and I enjoy how some blended into each other. Rio has quickly become a favorite artist for me. Bellaire’s colors is the perfect complement to Rios pencils. Her blend of colors and colors shift are awesome. I am hyped up to see her colors in Moon Knight #1. The Cover by Rios is fantastic and is my favorite of the week!

The Downs: This was soooooo good! I guess that is not a bad thing.

Overall: DeConnick is a masterful writer in her creator own series. This series is chilling, compelling, and adventurous. She has intertwined the characters with the perfect balance. Rios and Bellaire are the best team up to happen since peanut butter and jelly. We know how successful that has turned out. If you are looking for an Eisner type series then Team Pretty Deadly has you covered. A must buy issue this week!
