THE FALL OF THE FANTASTIC FOUR: PART TWO

The Fantastic Four get a rude awakening in the middle of the night from a horde of monsters that come from a dimension they thought inaccessible by everyone except them and the price of fighting them is probably higher than any of them expected to pay…

The Ups: This new Fantastic Four series is one of the best reboots to come out of Marvel in recent months with writer and artist, James Robinson and Leonard Kirk respectively, working in tandem, like brothers in arms, that provides a very compelling and entertaining story that is sure to only get better. This issue is paced in a way that first throws the problem at you quickly followed by the solution which gives us a feign sense of security but is immediately ripped asunder by the confusion and frustration that is conveyed in the characters and passed on to us. Along with the story and art, the colors done in this book did their part to adding to the captivating nature of the comic and made it difficult from me to put the book down for more than a second.

The Downs: Nothing. Nothing at all!

Overall: With their first arc being titled “The Fall of the Fantastic Four” it is clear to us all that things will be going much further south than they already have and it’s only a matter of time until Robinson and Kirk bring out all the stocks and show us a Fantastic Four that we have never seen before and probably never will see again after this is all over.
