…TO THE VERY END

Thanos’s army is closer and closer approaching Earth and he has the Avengers and their allies on the ropes. Cap has gathered as much help as he can to stop the threat of Thanos and is now preparing to bring the fight back to the enemy! As the final battle approaches will the Avengers put a stop to the Earth’s destruction or will the fall once again?!

The Ups: Superheroes in space is always a tricky thing but when done correctly it can be a wonderful thing and Hickman has done that correctly. Every issue up to this point has been just one big epic space adventure that would put most sci fi books to shame. Hickman has written some pretty inspiring scenes as Cap has brought friend and foe alike from all parts of the galaxy together to fight the common threat. There is the right amount of action and  story telling to progress this story in the finale of the ‘Infinity’ story arc. The art team has done work worthy of movie quality drawing and coloring. With all the large space fight scenes full of lasers and large spaceships are things of beauty, I found myself just sitting there staring at every single bit of the page just to admire all of it. With drawings this detailed no matter how much is going on and with colors this bright and intense, it was almost like I was watching a movie.

The Downs: My only concern with this story is if it can keep this intensity going into the finale being that for me this story had a slow and awkward start. I have faith the finale is going to be great just as long as Hickman keeps up the great work that it has become to this point.

Overall: An inspiring story with beautiful visuals worth just staring at for hours. With the final battle with Thanos and his army approaching, it can only go up from here. Make sure to pick this one up!
