Actor Wentworth Miller, best known for his role in the hit show “Prison Break” as Michael Scofield, will be joining the cast of characters in CW’s “The Flash” as Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold. Snart will appear in the fourth episode of the series and will showcase his origin and the story behind the team his is meant to lead: The Rogues. Although Captain Cold is a major villain of Flash comics, he is not the only ice-based villain that will be in the series. Caitlin Snow, played by Danielle Panabaker, is the secret identity of the frost wielding villainess Killer Frost. Although it is too early to speculate that she will be a villain in the series, the material is all definitely there. Lastly, although this is Miller’s first time playing a live action DC villain, this isn’t his first time being exposed to the universe. It should be noted that he also played the voice of Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke on the hit animated series “Young Justice”.
Currently in the comics we have seen Captain Cold give up the life of crime and become a valued member of the Justice League. Though this is true in the comic world, there is no reason to believe that Captain Cold will become a hero anytime soon within “The Flash”.
The first episode of “The Flash” is set to air on The CW on October 7th.
